Regardless of your net worth, you want your assets protected during your lifetime and distributed according to your wishes thereafter. With this in mind, we provide timely advice in relation to the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, appointments of committees, implementation and administration of family trusts and other estate planning vehicles.
About us
Lucid Law (legally now known as Devrin Q Froese Law Corporation) was established in 2009 by Devrin Froese. Since 2009, Devrin has been helping clients structure their affairs to achieve their goals. He has helped hundreds of clients set up structures for business and estates purposes including corporations, partnerships, wills and trusts. He regularly helps First Nation communities implement tax planned business structures, complete mergers and acquisitions and advise on various other types of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements. In addition, he regularly advises First Nation communities and leadership on other issues including law drafting, land code matters, corporate governance, leasing and real estate on First Nation lands, settlement of community trusts, land allocations, additions to reserve and housing policies and initiatives.
Devrin has law degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Cambridge in England. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2008. Since then, Devrin has practiced with a mid-sized corporate firm in Vancouver, been a partner in both a boutique Indigenous rights law firm in Vancouver and a national law firm and brings that wealth of experience to each and every file he works on.
Devrin has published various articles in peer-reviewed journals including “Exploring First Nations’ Right to Tax” (2007 Canadian Tax Journal) and “Professor Raz, the Rule of Law and the Tobacco Act” (2006 Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence). In addition to his law degrees, Devrin has a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy.
